Director of Nursing, Kristy Canter
Director of Nursing, Kristy Canter, has dedicated her career to providing high-quality care to others. She earned her Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Kentucky University in 2002 and went on to complete her bachelor’s degree at EKU in 2014. After spending more than a decade in acute care from 2003 to 2015, she became Director of Nursing in 2015, bringing a wealth of clinical knowledge and leadership experience to Irvine Nursing and Rehab. Kristy loves her position as it allows her to care for and connect with the elderly members of our community, making a meaningful difference in their lives each day. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially making memories with her greatest joy- her one and only grandson.
Administrator, Mica Collins
Mica Collins, Administrator, brings over 12 years of long-term care experience. She began her career as a Director of Social Services and moved into her role as Administrator in 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree in social work from Eastern Kentucky University in 1999 and recently completed her master’s degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University. Mica’s passion for caring for seniors began early in her social work career and continues to inspire her every day. She is committed to building strong relationships with her residents, families, and staff while ensuring Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation remains a place where compassionate, quality care comes first. Outside of work, Mica enjoys spending time with her family, movie nights, attending community events, and cheering on her children in their many activities. Mica’s door is always open and she welcomes you to stop in and say hello.
